JDC Indexing Project Internship Opportunity

The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee is seeking JDC Indexing Project Interns for an exciting opportunity to assist with a new forward-thinking archive project to index important historic lists. The qualified intern will have the opportunity to engage with primary source material regarding JDC’s work since 1914.

Perfect for those with an interest in Jewish or general history, genealogy, the non-profit sector, library science or archival work. Ideal for the university student or recent graduate to gain applicable work experience. 

Position Requires:

  • Interest in history and the treasures of the JDC archives
  • Detail oriented skills
  • Working as a reliable team player
  • General computer skills (Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel)
  • Foreign language skills helpful but not necessary
 

Internships available for semester-long commitment of at least 10-hours per week. Full-time summer internships are also available. Internship is unpaid.

Supervision and training will be provided.
